Project Set-up

Training project set-up is critical to the success of an enterprise application implementation. In project set-up (the first stage in our Easy 3-step process), we take great care to address the following key areas, which form the foundation of a smooth and stress-free transition to the new application or module for users and the organisation.

Awareness

A content development project impacts many people in the organisation, and specifically in the project team. An Awareness workshop session will ensure that they all have a common understanding of how the project can help them and what input they will need to provide. The service will also enable the client to choose between different approaches to the training programme. This naturally leads into scoping and planning to ensure that everything is properly scheduled and resourced.

Scoping

This service evaluates the content development requirement in terms of the number of topics needed to support the application. This will enable the client to plan the right amount of internal and external resource to support the project.

Planning

Planning will ensure that the content development work will integrate with the other aspects of the project. The latter stages of an enterprise application implementation project can be extremely fraught and it is essential that sufficient time from subject matter experts and business process owners is set aside to avoid slippage in the final stages.

Standards for Content and Training

The establishment of comprehensive standards for content authoring is critical. Users respond best to consistent style and approach in the e-Learning content and good standards will ensure that content developed by different authors will have total consistency. The application of standards from the outset will prevent the need to redevelop content later, thereby saving substantial time and cost

Pay only for what
you need

Too often, initial activity around the assessment of training needs lacks focus. As a result, end-user organisations can end up paying for consultancy services they do not need, so jeopardising timescales and budget.
